Chitose spun around in his chair, the cord of his phone winding around the chair as he spun.
“Yes, the cards sense a relaxed evening in your future. And love… is there anyone you have recently split up with? Mmm, yeah, you’ll be seeing them again!”
Hazuki laughed, leaning over the side of Chitose’s cubicle. “It’s nice having a boy around isn’t it Reiko-chan?”
“Indeed.” Reiko fluffed her hair, smiling at Chitose. Chitose wiggled fingers at the two women, and they laughed.
“Oh that? That’s just the joyful sound of the spirits. Yes. They’re saying you’re going to have an enjoyable evening with, mmm hmm, yes, exactly.” Chitose spun his chair the other way around, unwinding the cord from around himself and the chair. “Diet trouble! Tell me about it. The stars are all about all natural diets you know.”
There was an impatient cough from just outside the cubicle. Reiko turned and grinned widely. “Chitose-kun! Look who showed up!”
Chitose perked up, spinning around to face the cubicle entrance. “Kippei! Hey!” Hurriedly unwinding himself from the chair Chitose apologized to his caller. “I’ll transfer you to one of our other psychics. The fantastic mystic Rai To, the reborn Queen Hatshepsut. Oh yeah. She’s amazing. I’m sorry, the spirits are calling me away.” Pressing the buttons to transfer his client over to Hazuki.
“I thought you said no working late Senri.” Tachibana crossed his arms over his chest.
“Eh?” Chitose blinked in confusion, then glanced hurriedly at the clock. “Kippei! I’m only … three hours overdue! It’s overtime! It’s money!”
Tachibana shook his head and started walking away. “You’re a hippy. You’re not supposed to care about money.”
Chitose sent a wave at the girls, grabbing his coat and rushing after Tachibana. “I’m sorry!”
“I see a sleepless night in your future you two!” Reiko called after them. Tachibana, almost to the door out, tripped.
“That’s because he’s sleeping on the couch!”
Hazuki laughed, leaning over the side of Chitose’s cubicle. “It’s nice having a boy around isn’t it Reiko-chan?”
