Kadota Kyohei / Orihara Izaya / hard to say i love you
It wasn't true that they never said 'I love you'. Izaya was the type of person who could say 'I love you' at the drop of a hat. He 'loved' humans, and he was often telling little girls 'I love you' in order to lead them on. Izaya liked to keep people on a string and he liked to decide how long that string got to be and when to cut it.
Kadota had never been on Izaya's string. He saw the way Izaya worked and avoided it, what made him interesting to Izaya was his DISinterest in Izaya's occupation. Kadota (or 'Dotachin') wasn't the type to say 'I love you', not to a flesh and blood person.
Izaya said it as a joke sometimes, reaching up and stroking sweaty, hot, shivering fingers over Kadota's cheek during a passionate clinch. "I love you," He'd moan, tightening around Kadota and arching his hips off the bed.
Kadota would grunt in response and bend forward, his hips working backwards and forwards slightly faster.
He'd wait until Izaya was asleep, his body spread across whatever bed they were in, hogging all the pillows and sheets. Then Kadota would lean down and murmur into the back of Izaya's neck 'I love you too'.
