Shouichi coughed, blood, dust, it didn't matter now. He couldn't breath, and the pressure from the fallen debris just made it more difficult. It was like one of those sadistic witch hunting executions, where stones were piled on someone's chest. Shouichi's glasses were broken, hanging half off of his face, and the glass was cracked anyway. When Shouichi's mind registered that he could see the clear blue sky, despite all the precautions they had built about this section of Namimori, he laughed. Of course the cloaking machinery had been destroyed.

"Oooh?" The clatter of rock against rock, the tap of a hand made italian leather shoe on rock. A familiar face blotted out the sky, familiar lips curled in a familiar blood curdling smile. "There you are Shou-chan. I was looking for you."

Shouichi couldn't help it, he smiled. There was no use in frowning at Byakuran. The pain in his abdomen was stabbing, a million times worse than a stomach ache, and his shirt was sticky with blood and covered in grit. It didn't matter, Shouichi wouldn't need to look presentable. He wouldn't even get a funeral, he was already buried. "Byakuran-san. Shouldn't you be getting ready?"

Byakuran made a moue of distaste, and sat down ontop of the rocks crushing Shouichi's chest. Byakuran's lithe body didn't even make a difference. "I can't seem to find Tsuna-kun's body. Have you seen it Shou-chan?"

If Shouichi could have shrugged, he would have. Instead he arched his eyebrows and licked his lips, dust and blood coated his tongue. "You were the one he fought last Byakuran-san." The storm man had killed Spanner, had destroyed the walls that were killing Shouichi. "I suspect you'd know best."

Byakuran frowned. "So you'd think. But his body isn't here."

Shouichi closed his eyes, blotting out the sky and the frown and everything else. His hearing was already fading, sounds becoming lost in a distant ring. "I wouldn't know Byakuran-san." The white machine had been destroyed after all, the last fail safe to keep Byakuran from completing the 7^3.

"What was that Shou-chan? You're getting faint."

Shouichi laughed again, a bare whisper of sound, lost in a passing breeze. "More weight."
