Marui sighed, his eyes roving over the icecream counter.
There were so many flavors! How could he possibly pick one! Alas, Marui's mother had cut his allowance because his stupid brothers had decided that the week before it would be fun to elude Marui while he was supposed to be babysitting and instead to go climb a tree, which they fell out of, whining and whimpering, the moment Mom came home. That had settled it for Marui though; he was never babysitting without Jackal again. The twins thought Jackal had voodoo powers.
"What can I get for you?" Glancing up Marui wondered if the counter girl was finally noticing he existed, but instead she was talking to a smiling blond boy who was leaning excitedly over the counter by the till.
"I want a chocolate shake!" Marui frowned the kid seemed really familiar. It wasn't until the blond turned and waved and smiled at him that Marui placed him. "Hi Marui-sama!"
"Akutugawa, from Hyotei." Marui smiled, like he was used to dealing with fans all the time. He was, of course, a tensai. He had loads of fans. "They make good shakes."
"Oooh! I hope so!" Jirou bounced and Marui looked around for the kids usual protectors. Like the snooty Hyotei captain, or that big silent kid. "Marui-sama! Can I buy you something? Please! It'd be an honor!"
"…sure." Marui grinned. Maybe he wouldn't have to pick one flavor after all.
