“Niou-kun.” Yagyuu frowned as Niou stole a cookie off his plate. “Marui’s mother gave you plenty of cookies.

” After their science project had been completed, which had been totally cool and wicked and they’d made ice cream with liquid nitrogen, Niou had somehow managed to squeeze into all of Yagyuu and Marui’s friend time. It was not that bad, since Marui’s mom always made more snacks then Yagyuu and Marui could eat without getting sick (Marui got sick, Yagyuu never ate more then he could handle) and he had lots of cool ideas.

Like that one about playing tennis at the street courts. Man had they kicked ass there.

“Yours taste better.” Niou said, crunching down on the animal shaped cookies. Marui’s mom made things that tasted awesome but they always looked a little demented.

“They all taste good.” Marui was lying half under the kotatsu, his arm flopped over his face. “Mum doesn’t make anything bad.”

“Never said she did.” Niou tried to steal another cookie but Yagyuu moved his plate away. There was a sneaky look in Niou’s eye now and Yagyuu knew he was totally in for it now.

“Hey. Do you two wanna watch Kira Kira Megane Corps?” Marui kicked Niou under the kotatsu before pulling out from under it, snatching his hot chocolate and walking to the small television his Mother allowed in the ‘play room’. It was really a den, but Mom said it was Marui’s space for when he had friends over. Licking at the whipped cream that had stuck to the rim of his mug Marui turned on the TV quickly finding his channel and flopping down on one of three beanbags around the TV set. There used to just be two, a pink and purple, but when Niou had started hanging out at Marui’s apartment more a green one had appeared.

“I can’t believe you watch this stuff.” Niou left the kotatsu, curling up in the green beanbag. Yagyuu brought over the plate of cookies and set them down on the little table next to Marui’s beanbag. He knew Marui would be asleep before the show was over without sugar.

“It’s classic programming! And written by geniuses! And look at those special effects!” When Marui said special effects, he totally meant the guys in rubber suits. The fake explosions were lame but the suits were awesome.

Niou snickered and nudge at the side of Yagyuu’s purple beanbag. Yagyuu just handed him two cookies and pretended to be interested in the mindless drivel disguised as a children’s show.
