So.
Have I mentioned that my sister Maggie's baby shower is tomorrow? That's for Baby Becon, the kid I'll be taking care of by next Winter.
WELL... it's tomorrow, and it's been kind of driving EVERYONE crazy. God knows why, it just has.
Anyway, Maggie and Matt came in earlier this week; Beth, Jim, and Shane juts came in today.
Here's the difference between Maggie and both Beth and Juliet, or hell, Maggie and the rest of my sisters. When Juliet was pregnant I got her whatever she wanted, I asked, offered, and was asked to do things. That's alright. It's kind of my role in the household. With Beth I do the same, and it's not just for pregnancies. I do it for Mom, and I do it for Marian and Dad. Maggie, however, defers and generally does it herself. She gets what she needs, which is actually very little. She might actually need a LOT and just be considering our feelings or something.
Whacky.
Anyway, I fetched, carried, cleaned, cooked, cuddled... I had a full day. I started it off by getting woken up early so I could go shopping with Dad for whatever we needed. Then after coming back from that I tidied the house up. Then after tidying the house I... I'm not actually sure. Great portions of today are blank. @_@ ...I did play with Mya at some point, I remember that. And Marian came in eventually and took Mom off with her after which I ate Lunch... I did that around 2 something.
Then later Beth came in, and I spent time with the family just... spending time with them. Shane actually hugged me. Not like 'Shane, give Aunt Kate a hug' and letting me hug him, he actually hugged me! It was a nice 'let's get this over with' hug, but still.
He also got me an AuntKatemobile for my birthday. Yes, they call the Little People figure with red hair and red glasses 'Aunt Kate'. Note, my sister got Maggie for her Bb shower this little people toy which includes an 'Aunt Kate' and an 'Uncle John'. Scary how caricatured my family is...
Ugh. Uuuuuuuuuugh. ... I managed to blot out most of dinner, probably because from the minute we actually started to EAT I was up and down and up and down. I did get to eat before the painful stomach cramps overwhelmed me. There was Shane playtime after that. Then just kind of 'blah'ing until I got up to do the dishes. I'd done the breakfast and lunch dishes earlier, and unloaded them before setting the table so that I could make sure we had enough plates and silverware, so things fit pretty well. Plus, we'd had pizza so there wasn't a lot of other things to clean. After that I ran out with Marian to get Vegetable oil because apparently we have none and I needed it for the cupcakes.
BY THE WAY. To anyone making carrot cake cupcakes.
GRATE THEM. Hand churn food processors don't do the job. >_<;;; So, yeah, we have some... really big carrot chunks.
They're healthy? :D
ANYWAY. After that, I made carrot cake cupcakes from scratch, then I made devil's food from a box. My sister Tricia'll have to decorate them tomorrow. Where I'll have another exciting day of family and... family.
BUT. There will be spanakopita. Also baklava but I don't like that as much...
Edit: Oh, and I forgot. Juliet left the house at around 8 for 'an hour' to help Andrew move. She wasn't home till close to midnight.
My left arm is covered in bug bites and now a rash. Goddamn nature.
