Eva doesn't like men.
No, more than that, Eva really finds men just deplorable. Men like to stare at your breasts, or at your ass, and they like to touch you when you don't want to be touched. Eva has never liked men, not ever, and she finds comfort only in the touch of a cute woman like Tsukomo. Tsukomo embodies everything that Eva likes about the softer gender, Tsukomo is short, small, with a sweet face and an utterly adorable disposition.
Gareki embodies… a lot of things. Not the things Eva does not like about men (because that is Hirato and Yogi's job) but instead… things. Things about men that Eva might have forgotten over the years. Even from the beginning Eva's been out to get Gareki to react.
"Kid, if you don't behave I'll kiss you." Eva had whispered into Gareki's ear, the teenager had been trying to push away from her complaining about how he DID NOT NEED TO BE CARRIED, but he settled down after that threat.
"You wouldn't." Gareki glared. It was… cute. Not cute like Tsukomo, but cute enough.
"I would." If Yogi hadn't been there… Eva might have.
"Gareki-kun! You should do what she says! Eva-nee-san doesn't make idle threats." Gareki had blushed hotly, a light shade of red covering his cheeks and heading for the tips of his ears as well. Eva had scooped him up into her arms and started stomping through the forest. Gareki had covered his face seconds after Eva wrapped her arms under him.
Being that she is on the second ship there are a series of incidents after that where Eva runs into Gareki. Eva prefers to spend her time with Tsukomo, but Tsukomo likes to spend her time with Nai, so Eva ends up spending time with Gareki. She finds that she really likes the way his blushes cover his ears when he is embarrassed. It is not easy to embarrass him though. Gareki does not react to typical flirtatious teasing, instead he blushes hotly when he thinks he has done something foolish, or when he's been tricked.
"Gareki-kun." Eva feels incredibly pleased right now. "You shouldn't be in here." It had taken a lot, and Eva meant a lot, of trickery to get Gareki into her room. It had taken more trickery to not seem like it was her fault. Gareki was standing in her room now, and he had just opened her underwear drawer.
And he was blushing.
"THAT YOGI!" Gareki slammed the drawer of her bureau shut. "I'm going to kill him!"
"First things first!" Eva wraps her arms around Gareki's neck and leans down. Gareki's cheeks feel hot against the tip of her nose. "You broke into my room, I think that requires reparation."
"Wha-bu-E-" It's a quick kiss, just barely enough pressure to stop Gareki's mouth from moving against hers. Then Eva backs off and watches the blush spread all over Gareki's face and down his neck. She wonders just how far it goes. "Eh?!"
