“So you’re still set on becoming unbeatable.” Momo grinned at Kaidoh. Kaidoh looked up from tying his shoelaces.
Standing up Kaidoh grabbed at Momo’s shirt front.
“Ready to start a fight?” Kaidoh growled, but he knew from Momo’s easy smile that a fight was not what Momo was looking for. Dropping Momoshirou’s shirt Kaidoh turned away. “Fshuu.”
Momo laughed and tossed an arm around Kaidoh’s shoulders. “Going out for a run? Come on big shot, I’ll go with you.”
Kaidoh shrugged Momo’s arm off. “You could not keep up.”
Momo rubbed his nose. “That’s not the point, not the point at all. You like company when you run don’t you.” Momo’s grin widened to show all of his teeth. “You’ve been missing your usual running partner.”
“Echizen is quiet.” Kaidoh growled before snatching his towel up and wrapping it around his neck. “And he can keep up.”
“But he’s off at a tournament now!” Momo waved his hands in the air. “You should take what you can get Mamushi! You don’t have a lot of friends you know!”
Kaidoh was ready to plow his fist into Momo’s face when the door to their apartment swung open. Kaidoh’s temporary doubles partner took one look at the two of them before pushing up his glasses. “Kaidoh, I’ve come to see why you were late. Shall we go?”
Kaidoh bet there had probably been a 90% chance Momoshirou was holding him up. “Coming Inui-senpai.”
Momo pouted when Kaidoh let the apartment door close behind him on his way out.
