Title: Phone Calls
Pairing: Shirota/Aiba
Rating: PG
Summary: Shirota gets a little upset over a blog pic and nearly misses Aiba-chii Amazing Phone Call Rabu Rabu Love Talk Time!

Shirota kicked his computer chair away from the computer desk holding his computer. Frowning at the blog post Shirota slowly wheeled back towards the dreaded object. Aiba had posted a picture with that Minami in it again. Shirota frowned at the dratted machine. Aiba-chan posted pictures with the new Tezuka but he had never posted pictures of Shirota when Shirota was Tezuka. In fact there was maybe 2 pictures on Aiba’s blog that featured him, and that was only because they were group shots.

Aiba took pictures with Minami though. Minami and Doori, two of the people that Aiba had ditched him (HIM!) for last week. Aiba claimed he always made time for them, and Shirota did admit that Aiba had a pretty full schedule lately, as did he, but still Aiba never found the time for Shirota that he managed to find for his 3rd cast teammates. Grumbling and rolling up to the computer Shirota was ready to shut it down when a thought hit. If Aiba had posted a picture maybe Minami had too.

Searching for Minami’s blog Shirota clicked the link and waited for it to load.

Aiba blinked at his cell phone. It wasn’t beeping. Checking to make sure his ringer was on and his cell phone was charged Aiba waited another few minutes. Still there were no text messages or phone calls. Maybe Aiba had missed it? He had gone to the bathroom… Opening his cell phone Aiba checked his voice mail. He had no new missed calls!

“Dammit Shirota!” Aiba slumped on the couch and glared a little at the pink cell phone. Shirota always called around this time. He knew that Aiba would usually be free by now, and that the younger teen would not have fallen asleep quite yet. If Aiba was not reachable he left a message. What Shirota did not know is that Aiba would clear this time of night just for Shirota, no matter what anyone asked him to do, this was Shirota time.

Maybe Shirota was hurt? Aiba knew that Shirota looked forward to these phone calls as much as he did. (Though Shirota probably called it ‘Aiba-chi Ultimate RabuRabu Phone Talk!’) Picking up the phone Aiba did something he never thought he would do, willingly anyway, and called Shirota first.

--

Shirota was lying face down on his couch, head buried under a pillow. He knew Aiba would never cheat on him, and that Aiba just was not interested in other men. Aiba was a dedicated young man. He was dedicated to his career, to his talent, and to his friends. Shirota knew Aiba was dedicated to him too it was just…. Aiba could be such a flirt! It was what had drawn him to Aiba in the first place, that hint of sexuality, the unconscious flirtation, the way Aiba would act like a girl one minute and act like a boy the next (well, mainly Aiba acted like a boy, but there were times he was really girly), the way his hips would shift when he walked and his pert little bum looked great in tight pants.

Hearing the distinctive ‘pii-pii’ sound of his cell phone Shirota peeked out from behind his pillows to fish around on the coffee table for it.

“Moshi Moshi?” Shirota turned around, flopping his head back onto the throw pillow he had been hiding under.

“Baka!” Shirota shut upward, sitting straight on the couch at the shout from the other line. “I was waiting for a half hour for you to call! I thought you’d been hit by a truck or something!” Shirota ran a hand through his hair, ruffling it and gave an uneasy laugh.

“Sorry Aiba-chii, I didn’t mean to be late for our talk.” His heart skipped a beat at the knowledge that Aiba waited and expected his calls. Not only that but he was worried when Shirota didn’t call!

“You better be sorry! You’ll be even sorrier when I get down to your apartment tomorrow!” Shirota grinned, and settled back on the couch, apologizing more as the warm feeling in his heart grew. Aiba was dedicated to him, and while he might flirt, it was Shirota he loved.

“And wipe that stupid grin off your face you idiot!” Shirota became solemn face, his eyes twinkling with mirth though as he readied his repartee.

“Yes, dear.” There was an explosion of noise on the other line and Shirota laughed.
