Okay, so my mom talks to me today and tells me that the father of someone I used to hang out with is dead. She wants me to call up my old friends who I don't talk to often and who, to my knowledge, aren't in contact with Kevin, and tell them that Kevin's father is dead. I don't think any of us would even know how to CONTACT Kevin, much less are IN contact with Kevin. I also think it's kind of... not rude but just weird to drop in on someone you haven't spoken to since High School to say 'sorry your dad is dead'? >< Kevin and I weren't even very good friends to begin with.

I don't know. I just... it just feels honest to god insulting to Kevin and his dad.

But maybe that's me, I have very different reactions to death than my Mom.
