Title: Tribes of Blight
Author: Kitti-Chan
Pairing: Willow/Spike/Xander, Buffy/Angel, Faith/Oz, hints of Graham/Xander, and vague mentions of Cordelia/Gage
Spoilers: AU
Summary: A plague wipes out everyone over the age of 18, the Scooby’s endure.
A/N- Since everyone over 18 has died I decided not to kill the demons. Don’t ask me why it just doesn’t affect their physiology. Also Angel is still a vampire he just has no demon… I know it does not make much sense but I needed him around. I set it before their junior year because I did not want to deal with Aus and Hell and coming back and the mayor. Which brings me to him. He’s dead, he was basically human and over 18; hence death. Also Giles, sadly, died and not so sadly Ben died too; taking Glory with him. Dawn however will still appear because the monks (who have died) had to put the Key somewhere.
And yes I do love Hyena!Xander
Feedback: Would be much-ly appreciated

Angel refused to let Xander leave the tent and only allowed the other members of the tent out to finish business. When Faith and Oz met up with Graham and Riley both werewolf and woman were hard pressed not to grind the refuse masquerading as humans into the Earth. Both held back though, still walking the fine line of law at market. Xander had refused to seek any retribution listing the reasons why. "Guys, Graham, Riley and I have a history. They undoutably brought the tribe members who knew me as their fuck-doll and have embarressing stories to tell. The bruises and pains will be disgarded because I 'like it rough' according to all of their memories. Plus, remember, powerful tribe. Try not to piss off." Later Angel had cornered the boy and asked if he had liked it when Graham and Riley had fucked him. The answers to his questions, if there were any, stayed between the two men. Xander was half-way healed by the time market closed and Alpha Tribe headed back to base camp. When they reached the highschool the group was already well versed in the lie to deliver if anyone asked about Xander’s condition. The brunet male had not wished to reveal quite what had happened to him, and since Faith understood she had forced the others to agree. Cordy had sworn that the truth would come out but then had turned and threatened Andrew that she knew a spell that could force him to contract permanent laryngitis. Andrew had ‘meeped’ but swore to keep his mouth shut.
“There's something going on with those seven." Buffy mentioned off-hand one night to Sike as they watched the interaction between the group. Things had been strained since the return from Market and it all seemed to be centered around Xander. Buff did not buy for one minute he had merely been 'beaten up'. Xander's eyes held a dark shadowed cast to them that had not been there since his return with Dawn. Willow was jumpy and Xander took time out of his way to comfort her, more so then usual, and all of them would look at Xander out of the side of their eyes occasionally.
"Yes Slayer, there certainly is." Spike was wavering between worried and furious. When his nummys had come back from Market Xander had smelled of pain and cum, and Willow had been walking a fine wire between worry and pulling her hair out in a tizzy.
The bleached blond had decided enough was enough and was going to confront the little nursey that night. Seperating from the Slayer he followed the redheaded witch down the hallways heading towards the infirmary before he pulled her into an empty room on the sides. She squeaked and pulled away from him hands glowing in what was undoutably a nasty spell.
"Now, now Red. Wouldn't do me any good to wear my innards on the outside." Willow let the spell fade and looked up at Spike tears glistening in her green eyes and decided she wanted solace, contact, to feel. Plunging into his arms she pulled his head down into a kiss. Spike was suprised and his lips resisted a little at first before giving in and coaxing Willow even farther into his mouth and his embrace. If this was what she needed than this was what he woul giver her. Willow sighed as a cool tongue began to explore her mouth and allowed her hands to wander over the cool back, slipping her hands inside Spike's shirt and running them over soft skin. Spike shuddered and let his hands begin to explore when they heard a quiet sound from the doorway.
Breaking from the kiss they turned to face whoever had wandered into the doorway that they had forgotten to close. Standing there was a much frazzled Xander with wide eyes and a slightly opened mouth. "Xander... it's not what you think..." Willow began and Spike's heart hurt just a little hearing that. "Well, it is what you think but I swear this is the first time we've ever kissed and you know Spike's been working up to this for months and lets face it if Spike will take the time to plan and execute something then it's gotta be pretty important because let's face it Spike, not big on the planning..."
"Oi!" Spike was prepared to interrupt but his diatribe was cut off by an amused chocolately voice.
"No Spike, she's right. You; not so much a planner, more a do-er." Amused brown eyes, so many shades that they made the color 'brown' seem brilliant. Then they turned serious. "I'm happy for you both but if you hurt her I will dust you," Then eyes were turned to Willow, "If you hurt him I will have a very serious talk with you." Spike spluttered and Willlow blushed. Xander's serious look turned into a grin then. "But I doubt I'll have need for either do you?" Then the boy was out the door, dissapearing rather like how Angel used too.
Willow and Spike turned to eachother and once blue and green eyes met they were lost again all questions on Xander's behavior forgotten. Lips and tongues and hands soon became their focus, they'd talk about Xander later.
Buffy found them the next day groping in Willow's sun-proofed infirmary. The slayer merely glared at them as the two guilty parties seperated and then Mr. Pointy was out and pointed at Spike. "Hurt Willow equals Dusty Spike, capisce?" Quick nods and then to Spike and Willows disapointment Buffy dropped down into a chair. "Good, I'd hate to lose my best fighter, or my best freind." Stunned glances exchanged. "Now I want some answers from Willow, and I'm sure Spike wants them as well." Spike moved over to the slayers side his face gone solemn and serious and Willow grew worried. She knew what they wanted to know and she really did not want to tell... "What's up with Xander?"
"Um... I don't know what you mean?" Willow cursed her voice, hating the fact it came out as a question and knowing that her face looked guilty. "I-I mean there's nothing wrong. He's just being Xander and... oh! Growing! He's developing and growing and changing..."
"No he's not." Buffy cut off the babble a hurt expression sitting uneasily on her petite face. "He's gone back to what he was, un-grown or somethign."
"Regressed." Spike said quietly and earned himself a surprised glance from the Slayer.
"Yeah, that." Buffy acknowledged, flipping her hair. "And I wanna know why. What happened at Market?"
"Um... we bought stuff and sold and traded and stuff..." Willow said quietly wishing Faith, or Oz, or Angel, or even Cordy were there to help her lie. Andrew would spill faster then her. "Um, Xander was in a fight?" She squeaked out under the combined glare of a slayer and a master vampire.
"Yeah, that I get. But a fight so bad he's all wounded and jumpy? C'mon this is Xander we're talking about. He gets beat up by demons daily. He's quiet and Xan's not supposed to be quiet. He's supposed to talk and laugh and shout! He's not supposed to walk around like a Zombie!" Hand flying out impacting hard on the wall and Willow winces. There is a definite dent and now Buffy's stalking across the room angry and intent backing Willow into the wall. Spike's there with a hand on her shoulder, holding her back but just barely. "He's not sleeping, he barely eats, and it's nice that he's always trying to help but dammit he's not my Xander-shaped freind!" Buffy collapsed into Spike's arms the worry finally catching up to her as she starts crying. Spike pulled the slayer close, ignoring the tingling along his spine, and shushed her. Willow joined in comforting their distraught leader and all three huddled together seeking comfort.
