Title: Tribes of Blight
Author: Kitti-Chan
Pairing: Willow/Spike/Xander, Buffy/Angel, Faith/Oz, hints of Graham/Xander, and vague mentions of Cordelia/Gage
Spoilers: AU
Summary: A plague wipes out everyone over the age of 18, the Scooby’s endure.
A/N- Since everyone over 18 has died I decided not to kill the demons. Don’t ask me why it just doesn’t affect their physiology. Also Angel is still a vampire he just has no demon… I know it does not make much sense but I needed him around. I set it before their junior year because I did not want to deal with Aus and Hell and coming back and the mayor. Which brings me to him. He’s dead, he was basically human and over 18; hence death. Also Giles, sadly, died and not so sadly Ben died too; taking Glory with him. Dawn however will still appear because the monks (who have died) had to put the Key somewhere.
And yes I do love Hyena!Xander
Feedback: Would be much-ly appreciated

Xander was sitting in the main section of the tent, feet propped up on the table in front of him and eyes closed as he dozed. It was approaching evening and he was waiting for something to happen, bored out of his mind with nothing to do and no-one to talk to. Angel had left the tent earlier that morning just before dawn when another tribe had something that they thought he should see. Some sort of sword and they wanted to get rid of it that night, so Angel had taken Andrew with him and left, promising to find shelter before daybreak. Willow and Faith had set off not to long ago so Wills could go and look at magic supplies. Cordy and Oz were just a few tents away trading for necessities. There had been a few other tribes that had stopped in and looked around and he had gotten in some good trading too so Xander was just resting when he heard two sets of footsteps enter the tent.
“Can I help…” Xander started as he opened his eyes and then found himself staring straight at Graham and Riley. “You!” Graham and Riley exchanged glances the blond nodding and moving towards him.
“Oh Xan, I’m sure you can help us.” Xander pushed back tumbling over the back of his chair as it fell. Shit, shit, shit.
“You two really don’t want to be here when Angel gets back.” Xander squeaked, as he started moving towards the back of the tent. He knew that there were weapons back there kept nice and safe in a heavy… locked…. case. Riley and Graham started circling though, prepared to cut him off. As the brunet got too close Xander swung away from Graham’s touch, and tripped Riley up before sprinting for the exit. He could shout but he knew over the noise of market, which was bustling right now, it would not be heard. As he was grabbed from behind and wrestled to the ground Xander found himself hoping that someone got there in time to stop Graham and Riley from doing something really bad.
Angel sighed as he and Andrew headed back to the tent. The sword that he had been called out to see had been a fake, but a really good one and so it had been a waste of his time. Trapped inside the tent by the sun Angel only condolence was that the trip was not a total waste for Andrew, the tribe had to have been half made up of tech geeks. Tribe Silicone, he wondered where they had come up with the name. Turning to his left he spotted Oz looking very stoic while Cordy nattered on about this cloth or that cloth. Catching sight of him the werewolf stepped into Cordy’s litany and soon the two were heading over to meet up with him.
“Was it real?” Oz asked as he fell into step with Angel, voice carefully neutral.
“No, Andrew had fun though.” Obvious statement as Andrew began to weave a tale about Tribe Silicone for Cordy’s benefit. Then a familiar pair of backs caught his eye, a blond and a brunet ducking out of Alpha Tribe’s tent before hurrying off. Two worried female faces also were heading in that direction, Faith and Willow entering the same tent that Graham Miller and Riley Fin had just left. Growling under his breath the vampire broke out into a jog, his friends exchanging puzzled glances before hurrying to keep up.
Willow stood stock still as she saw the naked, bruised, bloody, and cum covered body on the floor. Faith took a minute to take in the scene before carefully gathering Xander in her arms and moving him into the back. Setting him on his cot she turned to the still silent witch. “Willow! Let’s wash him off and see how bad he’s hurt!” Willow shook herself slightly and then her resolve face was firmly in place as she started towards her injured and unconscious friend. A growl from the entrance spins Faith around and the slayer whips out a knife and stake before recognizing the people standing in the flaps of her tent. “Angel! We’ve got a situation here!” The vampire shouts her a look that clearly reads ‘well duh’ as he moves further into the tent.
Angel’s nostrils flared as he tried to catch the various nuances in he air, Faith and Willow were the earliest scents, fear and anger obvious in them. Under that was Xander, smelling like pain, rage, disgust, and fear and Graham and Riley mixed in some perverted lust-filled anger. Eyes snapping between demonic gold and angry brown he catches a quick glimpse of Xander lying in the back.
“What’s happening?” Cordy asks, “What’s going on?”
“Xander was attacked.” Faith says shortly. Willow looks up from where she’s bandaging Xander and meets Angel’s eyes. Angel manages to get a hold of himself because of the deep cold, pissed off rage that the mortal’s green eyes brim with.
“By Tribe Velocity.” She returns to cleaning off her friends body and carefully tending the wounds as Angel shudders with the inability to release his rage. Behind him he hears Faith let out a string of curses and then there was Oz standing inhumanely still. Cordy and Andrew were soon helping Willow patch up the unconscious Xander so Angel turned to face the other two.
“We do not go after Velocity. I don’t care about Market rules, we both have enough allies that if it comes before a Market Council it could degenerate into Tribe wars. Not something we want. Plus I need to know whether it was… or not.” The words ‘rape’ ring clearly in the air of the tent and apparently Cordy had been paying attention, of sorts.
“What!? How could it not be rape? You don’t think he willingly allowed… whoever did this to do this to him?!?!” Angel turns to face the angry girl who stares into his eyes before raising and pointing a shaking finger at him. “You do don’t you? I… I think I’m gonna be sick.” Cordelia dashed out of the tent and Angel just stared at the ground wanting to talk to Xander but unable to do it with him out of it. Willow is there though and just stands and stares daggers at him after Andrew and the others move into other compartments of the tent.
“I’m waiting for an explanation.” Willow said coldly and met the guilty puppy eyes Angel eventually raised. Still he did not look like he would just roll over and answer her questions and she had a feeling getting information out of Xander would be harder. Still, resolve face to the fore, she was going to try. A coughing sound distracted her and quickly the resolve face was lost as she looked down on the face of her wounded friend.
Xander was blinking as he started coming back to himself and coughed from the hoarseness of his throat. Oh yeah, he had shouted eventually, and there had been other things forced down his throat then threats. Opening his eyes fully he looks into a pair of worried green eyes and a pair of guilty brown ones. “Water?” He rasps out and soon there is a cup delicately placed against his lips and after a few sips Xander pushes it away, he wouldn’t be able to take too much of that right now. “Angel, before you ask. No, I wasn’t willing. Guess your threats are kind of defunct right now though.” Angel smiles in relief,
“Think so? I’ll have to come up with some new ones.” Willow is looking between the two, wanting to know what they’re talking about. She feels like she is missing half of a conversation and does not like it especially when it involves the man she is in love with.
“Why would you be willing? What threats?” Questions directed to Xander, but eyes locked on Angel. The vampire and her friend have a silent conference and then Angel’s leaving the room to give the rest an edited version of the why’s and wherefore’s though Willow figures Faith already knows. Then the redhead is sat down and given a new perspective into her friends life.
